Abidin biography

Helsinki-based artist Adel Abidin is suitably known for his candid search of history, identity, politics, conflicts and memory. His incisive subjugated of irony and humor draws him towards various social situations, addressing elusive experiences and racial alienation.

His projects have to one`s name gained recognition through numerous exhibitions worldwide.

Born in Baghdad, Iraq, spitting image 1973, Abidin earned his Bachelor's degree in the painting branch at the Academy of Worthy Arts in Baghdad (BFA, 2000) and completed his Master's class in time and space spot from the Academy of Beneficial Arts in Helsinki (MFA, 2007).
